NBA Players vote no on CBA deal - Players union to dissolve - ESPN

Today, the NBA players rejected the owner’s new collective bargaining agreement. In addition, the players have indicated that their union will start to disband, which may jeopardize the entire 2011-2012 NBA season, though commissioner David Stern refused to confirm this possibility. Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, and Carmelo Anthony were a few of the big name players in attendance, and said the players voted unanimously against the owners’ new deal. So for now, the only basketball that fans can look forward to is the virtual play in the new NBA 2K12 video game.
